Compare the2025 Infiniti QX80VS 2024 Lexus LX

The QX80 Autograph has a standard front seat center airbag, which deploys between the driver and front passenger, protecting them from injuries caused by striking each other in serious side impacts. The LX doesn’t offer front seat center airbags.

Both the QX80 and the LX have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available all wheel drive.

The Infiniti QX80 achieved a “Top Safety Pick” rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for the 2024 model year. This recognition was based on its impressive performance in the small overlap frontal crash test, updated side impact crash test, headlight evaluations, and pedestrian crash prevention testing. The LX has not yet been evaluated by the IIHS for 2024.

The QX80 comes with a full 4-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The LX’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 10,000 miles sooner.

The QX80’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the LX’s (7 vs. 6 years).

Infiniti pays for scheduled maintenance on the QX80 for 2 years and 35000 miles longer than Lexus pays for maintenance for the LX (3/45000 vs. 1/10,000).

The QX80’s 3.5 turbo V6 produces 41 more horsepower (450 vs. 409) and 37 lbs.-ft. more torque (516 vs. 479) than the LX’s 3.4 turbo V6.

The QX80 has 2.5 gallons more fuel capacity than the LX (23.6 vs. 21.1 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The QX80 has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The LX doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

For better traction, the QX80 has larger tires than the LX (275/60R20 vs. 265/55R20).

The QX80’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 60 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the LX Premium/Luxury’s 65 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the QX80 has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the LX Premium/Luxury.

The QX80 has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The LX doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

For superior ride and handling, the Infiniti QX80 has fully independent front and rear suspensions. An independent suspension allows the wheels to follow the road at the best angle for gripping the pavement, without compromising ride comfort. The Lexus LX has a solid rear axle, with a non-independent rear suspension.

The QX80 has standard front and rear stabilizer bars, which help keep the QX80 flat and controlled during cornering. The LX base model’s suspension doesn’t offer a rear stabilizer bar.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the QX80’s wheelbase is 8.8 inches longer than on the LX (121 inches vs. 112.2 inches).

For better handling and stability, the average track (width between the wheels) on the QX80 is 2 inches wider in the front and 2 inches wider in the rear than the track on the LX.

The QX80’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (49.2% to 50.8%) than the LX’s (52.5% to 47.5%). This gives the QX80 more stable handling and braking.

The QX80 uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The LX doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

As tested by Car and Driver while at idle, the interior of the QX80 Autograph AWD is quieter than the LX 600 F Sport (35 vs. 37 dB).

The QX80’s cargo area provides more volume than the LX.

The QX80’s available rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The LX Ultra Luxury doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.

The QX80’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the LX’s (8500 vs. 8000 pounds).

The QX80 has a higher standard payload capacity than the LX (1455 vs. 1285 lbs.).

The QX80 Sensory/Autograph has standard massaging front and rear seats (rear massaging seats on Autograph). Massaging seats aren’t available in the LX.

The QX80 is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The LX doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
